To kick us off, we have one of the most influential people in the Irish business ecosystem - Gary Fox.
Gary’s podcast, The Entrepeneur Experiment, has interviewed hundreds of Irish founders and give them the platform to tell their story. Today, he tells us a little about his.
The man behind the microphone 🎤

Tell me a little bit about yourself, Gary.
I’m Gary Fox, a founder, media operator, and podcast host based in Dublin. I run The Entrepreneur Experiment, a founder-led media platform exploring how world-class founders build great businesses while staying fit, mentally sharp, and grounded.
Through long-form interviews and real-world experiments, the show focuses on the systems, decisions, and trade-offs behind sustainable success. Founded in 2019, the business has grown organically into a multi-platform media brand with a global audience, spanning podcasts, video, live events, and premium founder experiences. I've produced over 28 seasons and 500 episodes of the podcast and amassed millions of downloads.
Let’s get into the business and the future 🔮
Are you feeling optimistic about the future?
I’ve spent years building audience trust rather than chasing trends, and that’s now paying off. The opportunity ahead is less about growth at all costs and more about depth, quality, and long-term value. I walked away from a successful property company I had built to pursue this opportunity, as I felt it had incredible potential to build something truly special.
What are your top priorities for the next 12 months?
The biggest challenge is protecting attention. There are endless opportunities, partnerships, and ideas, but not all of them move the needle. Saying no has become a core skill. Time and energy are the real constraints, not ideas or ambition.

The Irish bit ☘️
It is nearly St Patrick’s Day. Has being Irish helped your business?
Being Irish has been a genuine advantage. There’s a strong storytelling culture, a grounded attitude to success, and a global diaspora that opens doors. I've built one of the best personal networks in Ireland through the power of being sound and doing business the right way.
Irish founders tend to be resilient, resourceful, and good at building relationships, which matters hugely in media and partnerships. We punch above our weight internationally, and I’ve leaned into that rather than trying to copy Silicon Valley playbooks.
